H&M Studio SS18

H&M’s SS18 Studio Collection blends modern minimalism with traditional Japanese elements of style. The result is a collection of cool and fresh separates, dresses and accessories. I think what makes this collection so good is that many of the pieces have the versatility to be mixed and matched with each other to create dozens of different looks and an endless opportunity for styling. The collection dropped March 1st, right after the runway show in Paris which I was so honored to be in attendance of- It was a magical show with some incredible energy. Also, any fashion show that serves a seated sushi dinner is a show I want to be at.
When it came to choosing pieces to style, it was so hard! The collection is all very modest friendly and I fell in love with the crisp tailoring of this navy blue button down with contrast stitching. Paired up with these flared trousers straight out of a 70s editorial, it’s a cool girl’s outfit dream. I just had to play around with some of the abstract patterned pieces and went for this monochromatic midi dress. I layered a patterned mini over the the dress to add some texture and contrast.
Unfortunately, most of the collection sold out almost instantly, but here’s a link to the SS18 Studio shopping page because pieces are going in and out of stock as returns and exchanges start rolling in, so definitely keep your eye out!
