How to: Twisty Turban

I’m starting out with this large rectangular cream scarf from House of Hayaa.
I folded it in half long ways since it’s such a large scarf, and draped it with even sides on top of my underscarf.
Next, I lift both sides up above my head to make a simple knot.
and here is an incredibly awkward picture of me knotting the two sides at the top….
After I tighten the knot I usually like to shift it over a bit to one side instead of leaving the knot right in the middle of my forehead..
Now I just twist the two pieces around each other all the way down until there’s only 3-4 inches left untwisted.
Here I wrap the twisted pieces around to the back and get ready to tuck in the loose ends.
Here I just tuck the end of the twisted pieces into the back of the turban.
So, there it is! Hopefully this is easy to follow, it was actually a bit harder to translate in a pic-torial than I thought it would be. I first learned how to tie this turban style a couple years ago from a pic-torial that was posted on hijabfashion’s instagram. It’s very similar to how Ascia AKF ties her turban and I think it’s one of the simplest and most flattering turban styles.
